SEMZON Engineering has completed a 20-ton-per-hour poultry feed production line for Albadar Feed in Kabul, Afghanistan. The plant is fully automated and covers every stage of feed production – grinding, batching, mixing, pelleting, cooling, screening and packing – under one control system.
The machines were designed and manufactured at our works in Lahore, and our engineers handled the plant layout, installation and commissioning, so the client dealt with a single team from the first drawing to the first bag of feed.
What the plant produces
The line is engineered for large poultry operations that need a steady supply of mash, pellets and crumbles. Recipes are dosed automatically, so every batch follows the formula set by the nutritionist and quality stays consistent shift after shift.
Process sections
- Grinding – SMSP hammer mills reduce maize and meals to the particle size the recipe needs (screens from 1 to 5 mm).
- Batching and mixing – multi-bin batching under PLC/SCADA control feeds a twin-shaft paddle mixer with mixing uniformity of CV ≤ 5%.
- Conditioning and pelleting – steam conditioning followed by SZLH ring die pellet mills produces hard, uniform pellets.
- Cooling and crumbling – a counterflow cooler brings pellets to within 3–5 °C of ambient, and a crumbler makes 0.8–1.8 mm chick crumbles.
- Screening and packing – a vibration screener returns fines to the pellet mill, and finished feed is weighed and bagged automatically.

Why it matters for export clients
For a plant outside Pakistan, a single supplier for design, machinery and commissioning removes the gaps between vendors that usually cause delays on site. It also means one point of contact for spare parts and service after start-up.
One team for layout, machines, control panels and commissioning is the fastest way to get a feed mill producing.
