Clean Granules From Plastic Waste

Recycled plastic granules — known locally as plastic dana — are only valuable when they are clean and consistent. A SEMZON recycling line is configured around your waste stream: film, bottles, crates, bags or industrial scrap.

The line opens and sorts bales, shreds the plastic, removes dirt and labels in float-sink and friction washers, dries the flakes in a centrifugal dryer, then melts, filters and extrudes them into strands or water-ring cut pellets that are bagged for sale.

We manufacture conveyors, tanks, washers, frames and control panels in Lahore and integrate the extrusion and pelletizing section, so you deal with one supplier from layout to commissioning.

Process flow

How a Plastic Recycling Line Works

Eight stages turn mixed plastic waste into clean granules. The numbers on the diagram match the steps below.

Step by step

Stage-by-Stage Process

Step 1

Sorting

Bales are opened and the plastic is sorted by type and colour on a sorting belt. Metals, paper and other contaminants are removed by hand or by magnet.

Step 2

Shredding

A shredder or crusher cuts bottles, film and rigid parts into flakes of a uniform size for washing.

Step 3

Float-sink washing

In the washing tank, light polyolefins float while heavy contaminants and other plastics sink. Paddles keep the flakes moving forward.

Step 4

Friction washing

A high-speed friction washer scrubs off labels, glue and fine dirt that soaking alone cannot remove.

Step 5

Drying

A centrifugal dryer spins water out of the flakes so the extruder receives dry, free-flowing material.

Step 6

Extrusion & filtration

The flakes are melted in a single-screw extruder. A screen changer filters the melt to remove remaining contaminants.

Step 7

Pelletizing

The melt is cut into uniform pellets by a water-ring or strand pelletizer and cooled with water.

Step 8

Granule bagging

Pellets are dried, stored and filled into jumbo bags or 25 kg bags — ready to sell to film, pipe and moulding manufacturers.

Questions

Straight answers to the questions our engineers hear most about plastic recycling machinery.

What is the price of a plastic dana making machine in Pakistan?

It depends on the plastic type, hourly output, how dirty the waste is (washing scope) and the extrusion and pelletizing section. Share your waste type and target output and we will quote a complete line.

LDPE and LLDPE film, HDPE bottles and crates, PP woven bags and crates, and PET bottles to flakes. Each material gets the shredding and washing set-up that suits it.

If your waste is post-consumer (used film, bottles or bags), yes — dirt and labels must be removed before extrusion. Clean industrial scrap can often go straight to shredding and extrusion.

Yes. We install, commission and run the line with your team until operators are confident, and we support you with spare parts afterwards.
