Working Principle
Cooled pellets flow between two pairs of rolls set at an adjustable gap. The first pair breaks the pellets and the second refines them, giving crumbles of uniform size — 0.8–1.8 mm for chick starter feed.

Do I need a crumbler?
If you produce chick starter or pre-starter feed, yes. It sits between the cooler and the screener; when crumbles are not needed, the rolls are opened so pellets pass through to screening.
Why four rolls instead of two?
Two grinding zones give double the output and shorter rolls than a twin-roll crumbler of the same capacity, with more uniform crumbles.
